Exchange rate today (December 14): The USD on the free market and the world plummeted

Domestic market developments

* The reference exchange rate at the SBV’s buying and selling exchange increased slightly, currently at: 23,400 VND/USD – 25,101 VND/USD.

* Euro exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam Buying – Selling Exchange is currently at: 24,563 VND/Euro – 27,149 VND/Euro.

The USD exchange rate on the free market this morning dropped sharply compared to the previous session. In the Hanoi market, at 6:35 a.m., the USD traded (buying – selling) was around 24,603 – 24,663 VND/USD, down sharply by 116 VND/USD on the buying side and down 96 VND/USD on the selling side compared to with the previous trading session.

World market developments

The USD depreciated against the Euro and Japanese Yen in the last trading session, after the US Federal Reserve (Fed) signaled that US interest rate increases had ended and borrowing costs would decrease. decrease by 2024.
