(TBTCO) – Ban Viet Commercial Joint Stock Bank (BVBank) has just completed a pre-mature bond buyback with a total bond value calculated at par value of 100 billion VND.
This type of bond has a term of 7 years, par value of 1 billion VND each bond. Bonds issued from August 2022 and expected to mature in August 2029.
According to synthesis from the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA), the total value of bonds bought back by businesses before maturity accumulated from the beginning of the year to November 24, 2023 reached 201,764 billion VND, an increase of 14.2 billion VND. % compared to the same period in 2022 and equivalent to 83.6% of issuance value.

Banks are the leading industry group, accounting for 48.4% of the total value of pre-mature repurchases (equivalent to VND 97,590 billion).
Regarding maturing bonds, in the remainder of 2023, the total value of bonds that will mature is VND 31,845 billion. 44% of the upcoming bond value belongs to the real estate group with more than 13,994 billion VND, followed by the banking group with 5,530 billion VND (accounting for 17%).
Regarding the situation of corporate bond issuance, according to compiled VBMA data, as of November 24, 2023, there were 19 private issuances in November with a total value of more than 21,910 billion VND. These issuances have an average interest rate of 9.2%/year, with an average term of 6 years.
Accumulated from the beginning of the year, the total value of corporate bond issuance was recorded at VND 242,033 billion, with 28 public issuances worth VND 27,070 billion (accounting for 11.2% of the total issuance value) and 201 private placement worth VND 214,963 billion (accounting for 88.8% of the total)./.
