Exchange rate today (November 29): The USD continues to slide

(TBTCO) – In the early morning of November 29, the State Bank (SBV) announced that the central exchange rate of Vietnam Dong is currently at 23,930 VND/USD, down 17 VND. On the world market, the USD Index reached 102,665, down 0.43% at 6:22 a.m. on November 29, Vietnam time.

Domestic market developments

* The reference exchange rate at the SBV Exchange decreased by 18 VND, bringing the trading range to 23,400 VND/USD – 25,076 VND/USD (buy – sell).

The USD buying price at banks is currently in the range of 24,005 – 24,110 VND/USD while the selling price remains in the range of 24,410 – 24,430 VND/USD.

On the “black market”, the USD is traded at 24,550 – 24,630 VND/USD.

* Euro exchange rate at the State Bank’s Buying – Selling Exchange is currently at: 24,913 VND/Euro – 27,535 VND/Euro. .

World market developments

The dollar fell to its lowest in more than three months in recent trading, as investors continued to push the view that growth in the world’s largest economy is starting to slow, with markets begins pricing in a rate cut in the first half of next year.

In the opposite direction, the British Pound increased 0.4%, climbing to its highest level since September 1 at 1.2685 USD.

The USD decreased 0.8%, to 147.49 Yen, in which the Japanese currency continued to recover from 152 Yen/USD.
